2015 Commemorative ACL Festival Artist Poster

Continuing with our tradition of working with Texas artists, we commissioned Austinite Sophie Roach for the 2015 commemorative poster. Her intricate “doodles” create a tapestry of movement and life that is humorous yet sophisticated. The detail beckons you to look deeply, following the swoops and curves to see what delights lie around the bend. As is our custom, we’re offering three very special editions of the poster. We only print one run, and once sold they out will not be re-issued. See below for more details:

• Commemorative Edition $30 — Offset-printed with four-color process ink on heavyweight, 100% post-consumer waste recycled acid-free paper. Includes complete band lineup below the artwork. 18” x 24”
• Numbered Edition $60 — Silk-screened with three colors on heavyweight, 100% post-consumer waste recycled acid-free paper. Using special printing techniques we created a wide range of colors from a limited palette. Includes complete band lineup below the artwork. Hand-numbered in an edition of 350. 18” x 24”
• Signed & Numbered Edition $175 — Silk-screened with five colors on heavyweight, 100% cotton rag paper, acid-free and archival quality. Using special printing techniques we created a wide range of colors from a limited palette. This version does not include the band lineup. An edition of 200 numbered and signed by the artist. 36" x 24"

About the Artist

Sophie Roach is a self-taught artist and illustrator based in Austin, TX. She discovered her passion for compulsive drawing when she should have been paying attention to lectures at the University of Washington. By using familiar shapes, patterns and her own intuition, Roach has created a unique visual language based on spontaneity and rhythm. Her abstract style is playful yet austere, extremely detailed and often vibrantly colored. Past clients include Nike, Converse, and MiO.
